Near South Side

Picture
View of One Museum Park from the Museum Campus.
To the south of the Loop and to the west of the Museum Campus is the Near South Side.  Today it is home to many new residential high-rises and towers as many affluent people want to take advantage of this neighborhood's relative proximity to the lake, the parks, and to the city's commercial center.  Pictured above is One Museum Park, which borders The Loop, Grant Park, and the Museum Campus, and pictured below left is its sister structure, One Museum Park West.  Below right is tower located on Michigan and 13th.

Pictured below is one of Chicago's landmarks, the 2nd Presbyterian Church, which is located on Michigan Avenue.  It is a good example of the Arts and Crafts movement, which can be appreciated in the slideshow below.  To visit their website, click here.
