6th Street
One block North of Maine Street on 6th Street you can see this line of buildings with bay windows. These are part of the Timothy Rodgers Block that was designed by Harvey Chatten. You can see these buildings closeup by clicking on one of the images below.
At the corner of 6th and Hampshire is the beautiful seven story Illinois State Bank Building with a white terra cotta facade. The building was designed by Martin J. Geise and built in 1914.

Pictured below is the Blackstone Building that is located at the corner of 6th and Vermont. The Blackstone was built in 1889 in the Richardsonian Romanesque Style. The limestone blocks that line the entrance look like they support great weight, but in fact they are merely facing on the brick.
A little north of Vermont St. is this two story brick building.
